Strategic Collaboration
I was contracted to design and develop a new city website using the eGov platform, aimed at enhancing communication and accessibility for residents. I worked closely with each city department to understand their needs and objectives for the website sections, ensuring alignment with city priorities. Collaborating with city officials, including the mayor, and eGov, I ensured the website was a seamless fit for the city's vision.
Execution & Optimization
Designed the website layout and sitemap to ensure easy navigation, focusing on a clean, intuitive user experience. Developed and built pages for each department, tailoring content to meet the needs of residents. Set up user profiles for department management, empowering staff to manage their sections independently and sustainably. I also provided two training sessions to department managers on how to edit and update their respective sections, ensuring they were confident in maintaining the site long-term.
Impact
Launched a user-friendly website that improved communication and empowered city staff to independently manage their sections, ensuring long-term sustainability. Training sessions further equipped department managers for ongoing site maintenance.
